As part of our continuing mission to communicate and educate we have produced a series of what we hope are useful emails designed to ensure that we have the information to ensure that you stay compliant.
The first of these deals with Companies House compliance.
As you will be aware, a limited company registered in the UK is required to file a confirmation statement at Companies House each year, an opportunity to confirm that your basic company information is correct and up to date. Information includes:
- Registered office address
- Director, PSC & shareholder information
- Business description (SIC)
- Share capital
We keep a record of when your confirmation statement is due and will contact you in the weeks leading up to the due date with a snapshot of your current filing and ask you to confirm if there are any changes. We will then file the confirmation statement on your behalf for your current engagement period.
It is worth noting that, in addition to the confirmation statement, limited companies should
inform Companies House of the following changes:
- Change of registered address, directors or secretaries addresses : within 14 days
- Change of constitution or articles of association : within 15 days
- Issue more shares : within 1 month
- All other changes : within 21 days
